FAQ

Questions, answered

What lawn care services do you offer?

We offer weed control, pre-emergent barriers, fertilizing, core aeration, overseeding, soil testing and lime, mowing, edging, mulch, bed care, cleanups, sod and seeding, grub, disease, mosquito and fire ant control and commercial and HOA lawn care. Weed control is our focus, and every service has its own page on this site.

How does weed control work?

We identify the weeds and your grass type, apply a pre-emergent barrier in spring and fall to stop weed seeds, treat the weeds that are already up with products chosen for each weed, and follow up between visits. Fertilizing, mowing and seeding help the turf crowd weeds out.

How long until the weeds are gone?

Many broadleaf weeds start to yellow or curl within days to a couple of weeks. Grassy weeds, nutsedge and wild violet take longer and often need repeat treatments. A thick lawn is the lasting fix.

Are your treatments safe for pets and children?

Products are applied by label. Keep people and pets off a treated lawn until it is dry, or longer if the label says so. We tell you the rule for each visit and offer slow-release and organic options.

When is the best time to start?

Any time. We start where the calendar is: a spring barrier in March and April, broadleaf control in spring and fall, and aeration and seeding for fescue in early fall.

Do I need to be home for visits?

No. We leave a note after each visit with what we saw, what we applied and what to expect.

Which cities do you serve?

We serve Middle Tennessee, with a page for each main city on this site. If you do not see your town, call 615-431-3789 and we will tell you whether we can come out.

Can I plan my lawn program online first?

Yes. The Lawn Planner on this site lets you choose the property, the main weed problem, the lawn condition, the size and the grass type, then shows a drawing and a summary you can send to us with one tap.
