Yellow nutsedge looks like grass but grows faster, with a triangular stem and a yellow-green color. It spreads underground by tubers and thrives in wet spots. Wild violet has heart-shaped leaves, a waxy coating that sheds many sprays and thick roots. Both are sedge or broadleaf specialists that ordinary lawn herbicides miss. Control takes the right product, repeat treatments and attention to the conditions that favor them.
We treat nutsedge and wild violet across Middle Tennessee, in Nashville lawns and larger properties. We identify the species, choose products labeled for it, apply with a sticker for better coverage, return for follow-up treatments and help you fix wet spots that invite sedge.
