Fertilization & Turf Health

Core aeration in Middle Tennessee: pull plugs from compacted clay so air, water and roots can get where they need to go

Tennessee clay packs down. Core aeration opens it up so roots, water and fertilizer can reach deeper.

Core Aeration

Compacted soil makes thin, shallow-rooted turf that weeds love. Core aeration pulls small plugs of soil out of the lawn, opening channels for air, water and nutrients and relieving compaction. It works best on fescue in early fall, and on bermuda and zoysia in late spring and early summer. Combining aeration with overseeding is one of the best things you can do for a thinning fescue lawn.

We aerate lawns across Middle Tennessee, from yards in Nashville to large properties. We mark irrigation heads and obstacles, run a commercial core aerator in more than one direction, leave the plugs to break down and pair the service with overseeding and fertilizer when the plan calls for it.
