A new seeded lawn starts with soil prep: grading for drainage, tilling or raking to loosen the surface, a soil test and a starter fertilizer. Seed is spread evenly, rolled in and covered with straw or a mulch blanket to hold moisture. Timing matters: early fall is ideal for fescue. New lawns also need weed control planned carefully, because many products would harm seedlings.
We seed new lawns across Middle Tennessee, from yards in Nashville to new construction. We choose a seed blend for your sun and shade, prepare the soil, apply seed and starter, cover the area and give you a watering and mowing schedule, including when to apply the first weed treatment.
